6,600 to 8,800 lbs Bear Claw Excavator Forestry Grab - BC140
The Bear Claw forestry grabs are engineered featuring heavy duty HB450 reinforced legs, internal guide bars, high pressure cylinders, line bored pivot areas, bushes and hardened greaseable pins throughout. The BC140 model weighs in at 310 lbs (excluding hitch / headstock) and is ideally fitted to 6,600 to 8,800 lbs class excavator, such as a Volvo EC35.
These are supplied in either a non-rotating / fixed configuration which simply operates off the excavators double acting hydraulic hammer circuit, or alternatively with a full 360 degree rigid rotation unit (twin auxiliary services required on the excavator). Please note that hydraulic hoses are not included as standard with this grab.
The BC140 non-rotating / fixed configuration is supplied with a standard 2 pin quick headstock or two way cross link (depending on the excavator) enabling the grab to be used in either orientation. Rotating models are supplied with a high quality forestry specification rotator and standard 2 pin head stock.
The Bear Claw excavator forestry grab series are ideal for scrub, brash, general clearance and all other forestry spec applications.

Fixed Configuration
The fixed configuration simply operates off the excavators double acting hydraulic hammer circuit. Fixed configurations are supplied with a quick hitch cross link headstock (if pin measurements allow) and enables the grab to be used in either orientation. Should the excavator pin measurements not provide sufficient clearance for a cross link headstock to be manufactured, a standard one way hitch will be provided - this can still easily be turned 90 degrees on a set of only 4 bolts in under 2 minutes. Rotating models are supplied with a standard 2 pin head stock. Please note that hydraulic hoses are not included as standard with this grab.
360 Hydraulic Rotation
This configuration adopts 360 degree hydraulic rotation and requires twin auxiliary services on the excavator. This configuration allows the operator the most maneuverability and increases the overall grab functionality.
